Why choose Your Site Sorted?
Hi, I’m Marie…
…and I’ll be your web designer today
If you’ve been scouring the internet looking for cost effective, professional and reliable web design you can stop searching now.
With over 20 years media and marketing experience, I’ve been helping entrepreneurs and small businesses launch fabulous websites since 2018.
I’ve now built and managed hundreds of sites and have honed my skills to provide the most efficient process without compromising on design or individuality.
Crafting websites is just the start of what I do
I’m not just a web designer. I want to be part of your digital success. I work with you to discuss every angle of the business you want to promote online.
Your website needs to…
Captivate and engage
Once your site is live it needs to hold people’s attention, how many steps are there between someone landing on your site and then reaching the point where you want them to do something?
Be easy to manage
Being totally frank, I get a lot of Wordpress site owners coming to me because they are afraid to touch their site or are paying expensive monthly fees to a developer to fix constant patch updates or ‘just in case’ they need them, oh and then there’s the server fees too.
Your site needs to work for YOU! Intuitive and hard working, if you want to change your prices or even rebrand, it should be quick and simple and not hold your business back.
Encourage action
Getting people to your site is one thing, but what do you want them to do when they get there. I talk to my clients a lot about UX (User Experience) we focus the build around taking action and making the journey as smooth as possible to get there.
Be found!
I can build you the most fabulous website in the world but if there’s no traffic then what’s the point? I’ll talk to you about what you’re marketing strategy will be. Word of mouth? Got ad budget? Great! If SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is crucial for you I can give you some great options here too.

Whilst I am a web designer and developer and can work in other platforms, I choose to only offer Squarespace and Shopify. This is because I believe that these two platforms are the best for the majority of customers that we work with. Service based businesses, or those selling 25 or less products on an e-commerce store, tend to have everything they need on Squarespace. If the business is entirely e-comm and they have more than 25 products then Shopify is what I would recommend.
-
No, if you’ve already got branding I can just build your site or if you don’t need the build but just need the branding then I can help with that too.

I tailor solutions to my clients' objectives and budget. As I work on my own I am able to be very competitive about my pricing. I'm not cheap I just don't have expensive offers or team members to pay for. Get in touch to discuss what I can do for you.

When considering web design services in the UK, costs can vary depending on several factors. Typically, prices start from as little as £500 for basic packages. However, the final cost is influenced by factors such as project complexity, desired features, and customisation needs. As you explore different agencies and designers, it's essential to ask about their pricing structures and what's included in each package. Keep in mind that investing in quality design can yield significant returns for your business, so prioritise value over solely focusing on the lowest price. Additionally, many agencies offer flexible pricing options to accommodate different budgets. Don't hesitate to discuss your budget and objectives openly with potential service providers to find the best fit for your needs. Remember, the right web design partner will work with you to create a tailored solution that aligns with your goals and budget constraints.

Managing your website independently requires familiarising yourself with its platform and tools. Start by learning the basics of content management systems like Squarespace or Shopify through online tutorials or guides. Regularly update content, images, and plugins to ensure functionality and relevance. Utilise website analytics to track performance and make informed decisions. Additionally, consider attending workshops or hiring a consultant for personalised guidance. With dedication and practice, you can effectively manage your website, empowering yourself to make necessary changes and optimisations over time.
I work in Squarespace and Shopify because they are so user friendly and so recommend these platforms as being great ones for being run by clients after development and not requiring after care services generally. -
The cost of a good website in the UK can vary significantly depending on factors such as complexity, functionality, design quality, and the specific needs of your business. For a basic, templated website, prices may start from around £500 to £1,500. However, for a more custom-designed site with advanced features, the cost can range from £2,000 to £10,000 or more. It's essential to prioritise quality and functionality over solely focusing on price. Investing in a well-designed website can yield significant returns for your business in terms of brand image, user engagement, and conversion rates. Always discuss your budget and requirements with potential web designers to find the best fit for your needs.

Organising your website effectively involves thoughtful planning and structuring. Start by defining clear navigation menus that categorize content logically. Create distinct pages for different topics or services, ensuring easy access for visitors. Utilie subpages or dropdown menus for hierarchical organisation if necessary. Implement intuitive labeling and naming conventions for pages and sections. Consider creating a sitemap to visualise the overall structure and flow. Regularly review and update your organisation as your website evolves. By prioritizing user experience and accessibility, you'll create a seamless browsing experience that encourages engagement and navigation.

Investing in a professional web designer can offer numerous benefits, especially if you lack experience or time to create a high-quality website yourself. A skilled designer can provide expertise in design principles, user experience, and functionality, resulting in a polished and effective website. They can also save you time and frustration by efficiently bringing your vision to life. Additionally, a well-designed website can enhance your brand image, attract more visitors, and ultimately drive business growth. While there are costs involved, the return on investment from a professionally designed website often justifies the expense. Consider your budget, goals, and the complexity of your project when deciding whether to hire a web designer.
